Sarah Nichols, RD, LD, CEDS Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor TX License #DT86102 IA License #129718 I am a Registered, Licensed Dietitian, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor in San Antonio, Texas. I firmly believe in weight inclusive, anti-diet, and HAES principles. Trust and connection are cornerstones to recovery. You can expect transparency and respect in our sessions. I would be honored to support you as you take this next step. |
NUTRITION THERAPY
I provide nutrition therapy for clients needing support for eating disorder recovery, Intuitive Eating, and addressing medical nutrition conditions.
|
FAMILY-BASED TREATMENT
Family-based treatment (FBT) is the gold star evidence based treatment for anorexia-nervosa impacting children, adolescents, and young adults. Time in session may be split or shared between the caregiver and the client. FBT also provides support for the caregivers.
|
MEAL/SNACK SUPPORT
Therapeutic meal and snack support can be part of a session or separate. This may be in office or out to a restaurant. Learning to eat the foods you once restricted is a critical part of recovery. This can be a typical meal or snack, or it can be an exposure. Either way, I will help you to plate sufficient food, use skills and cope to be able to eat the food without using disordered behaviors.
|
SUPERVISION/CASE CONSULTATION
A confidential space for providers to process cases, reflect and learn. I will be a CEDS-Consultant anticipated in March 2025.
|
GROCERY STORE TRIPS
We will go to the store together and purchase items you may struggle to buy independently. This is a form of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) treatment.
|
FAMILY MEALS
This is a key part of family-based treatment. The aim of this service is to help caregivers learn to plate sufficient food for their loved one and support them through the meal, bite by bite, without using disordered behaviors.
